Q&A with senior golfer Hayley Dye

A closer look into Hayley Dye’s highly successful Hayes golf career: Senior girls’ golfer Dye has broken two school records and will be remembered at Hayes as one of the best golfers in school history. Dye golfed varsity all four years.

Senior Hayley Dye will graduate this year as one of the top girl’s golfers in school history.

1. What made you interested in golf?

I watched my parents, took lessons and I liked it.

2.  What is your best score, and have you broken any school records?

My best 18-hole score is a 71, which broke the school record. My best 9-hole score is a 31, which also broke a school record.

3.  Are you planning on playing golf in college?

Yes, I’m committed to the University of Findlay.

4. What is your favorite golf course you have played on?

The Judge golf course in Alabama.

5.  What is your favorite Pacer golf memory?

Beating my own school record.

6.  Advice for young female athletes? 

Be confident in yourself, and if you trust yourself, you can do whatever you want.

7. Who is your golf inspiration 

Brooke Henderson

8. Have you ever got a hole-in-one, or been close?

I have hit inside of the hole but it bounced out. I’ve [also] hit an inch from it.

9. How long have you played golf?

10 years

10. What is your dream golf course to play?

Pinehurst (in North Carolina)
