1. How long have you played soccer?

14 years

2. What made you interested in playing soccer?

I started playing when I was little. I played a bunch of sports, but soccer was my favorite. So I stuck with it and I really love it.

3. What did the path look like to winning back-to-back OCC titles?

It was hard. Winning last year was really cool, so it was definitely hard to do it again.

4. Are you continuing your soccer career in college?

Yes, I am going to, but haven’t decided where yet.

5. What challenges have you faced being captain?

It was hard to get everyone going in the right direction and making sure we’re all staying focused.

6. What does it mean to you to win OCC player of the year?

It was really cool and I was surprised. I was really excited when I got the email.

7. What other accomplishments have you got in soccer?

Broke the school record (previous record was 18 goals in a season, Bruns got 24), made First Team All Conference, made Third Team All District, won back-to-back OCC titles.

8. What is your favorite Hayes soccer memory?

Over the summer team bonding. We did a slip-n-slide, kickball, had dinner and a fire.

9. What is your advice to young soccer players?

Keep working really hard, it will definitely pay off in the end. Also it goes fast, [so] enjoy it.

10. What will you miss most about Hayes soccer?

My teammates. We’re all really close.
