This year, the Talisman is doing special features on 26 unique seniors throughout the school year to celebrate these past four years they’ve spent here. These students represent the different facets of the class of 2026 at Delaware Hayes.
Meet Kate, our twenty-sixth senior:
Q: What activities are you involved in at Hayes?
A: I am part of Talisman, Morgan’s message, and play softball.
Q: Do you have any commitments outside of school?
A: I work as an assistant manager at cold stone.
Q: How did you balance your schoolwork with your other commitments?
A: I did my best to prioritize school work before practices and games so I had free time afterwards.
Q: What is your favorite memory from Hayes?
A: Moving here my sophomore year and creating bonds with new friends, teachers, and people in the community.
Q: What has been your favorite class at Hayes and why?
A: Talisman, I have learned a lot of social skills and made a bunch of new friends.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for future high schoolers?
A: Grades and test scores do not define you!
Q: What is one thing you’ll miss when you’re gone?
A: Softball.
Q: What are your plans for after high school and why?
A: I am attending Otterbein University to major in Sociology and minor in Psychology.
